Nigerian singer Omah Lay was pleasantly surprised when renowned artist Davido gave him a shoutout during a livestream with Kai Cenat, an American personality. The unexpected acknowledgment deeply touched Omah Lay, prompting him to take to Twitter to share his emotions.

In his tweet, Omah Lay confessed that he had previously assumed that Davido harbored negative feelings towards him. However, the shoutout from the OG singer shattered this misconception, leaving Omah Lay feeling appreciative and reassured.

The heartwarming moment occurred when Davido played Omah Lay’s song ‘Reason’ while driving with Kai Cenat at night. During the playback, Davido introduced Omah Lay to Kai, praising him as “hot asf.”

Kai Cenat, reminiscing about a previous encounter with Omah Lay, humorously expressed his initial apprehension, recalling Omah Lay’s onstage dance with another man’s girlfriend. However, he quickly clarified that his fear was lighthearted and jokingly begged Omah Lay not to steal his girlfriend.

Omah Lay took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the exposure provided by Davido during the livestream. His tweet, “I’ve always thought OBO hated me!” reflects his newfound confidence in Davido’s appreciation for his talent.
