The Olota of Otta hosts Public Complaints Commissioner Hon. Morakinyo Akinleye, pledging collaboration for justice and public awareness
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Honourable Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, Ogun State, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, recently paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege Ph.D., MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA, the Olota of Otta, at the Ipeti Royal Square, Enu Owa, Otta.Also read: Olota of Otta visits GOC 81 Division to honour late Chief of Army Staff
The meeting, held on Monday, 9 December 2024, underscored the shared commitment of the Olota and the commission to dispute resolution and societal harmony.
Hon. Akinleye commended His Majesty for his unwavering dedication to resolving disputes within the Otta Kingdom and expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended to him and his team.
He reiterated the commission’s pledge to diligently address public grievances and ensure equitable outcomes for all parties involved.
In his response, Kabiyesi Olota welcomed the Federal Commissioner and reaffirmed his support for the commission’s work.
His Majesty, a steadfast advocate for justice and equity, praised the Ombudsman system as an essential tool for maintaining societal balance.
However, he emphasised the importance of increased public awareness about the commission’s existence and its functions, highlighting that better accessibility could significantly enhance its impact.
The visit also facilitated discussions on strengthening collaboration between the Olota of Otta and the Public Complaints Commission.
