Olota celebrates Bishop David Oyedepo at 70

The Olota of Otta, His Majesty Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, celebrates Bishop David Oyedepo at 70, hailing him as a bastion of hope and faith.

 

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s the global community marks the 70th birthday of Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Ministries and Covenant University, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Otta, Aworiland, has joined notable personalities worldwide in celebrating the revered cleric.

In a statement to commemorate Bishop David Oyedepo at 70, His Majesty described him as an iconic leader whose journey from humble beginnings to global prominence exemplifies faith, perseverance, and destiny.

“Bishop Oyedepo’s life testifies to unrelenting passion, dedication, and commitment to the service of God, community, and humanity,” said Kabiyesi.

He further emphasized Oyedepo’s journey from Kwara to Lagos, and his flourishing in Otta, Ogun State, as a powerful reminder that our responses to circumstances shape our destiny.

A grand thanksgiving service was held today, 27th September 2024, at the church headquarters in Otta, attracting dignitaries including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others. Spiritual leaders such as Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Pastor Folu Adeboye, and Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo were also present.

His Majesty, represented by the Seriki of Otta, High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, honoured Oyedepo’s enduring legacy.
