A rising Nigerian trio boost strengthens Fulham’s hopes as Chukwueze, Iwobi and Bassey prepare to face Manchester City at Craven Cottage.
A Nigerian trio boost is set to shape Fulham’s preparations on Tuesday evening as manager Marco Silva confirmed that Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are expected to feature prominently when Manchester City visit Craven Cottage.

Samuel Chukwueze arrives in exceptional form after claiming the man of the match award in Fulham’s 2 to 1 victory over Tottenham at the weekend.
The winger, who supplied the assist for Fulham’s opener, produced one of his most polished performances since joining the club.
His sharp movement, incisive passing and increased creativity have yielded three assists this season, signalling renewed confidence.
Alex Iwobi is also expected to retain his midfield role.
The Nigerian playmaker has created 20 chances and registered two assists in the Premier League, supported by more than 400 completed passes at nearly 83 per cent accuracy.
His ability to link transitions and support the press continues to be central to Marco Silva’s structure.
Calvin Bassey is set to continue his partnership with Joachim Andersen in central defence.
With 51 duels won, 22 tackles completed and an 88 per cent pass accuracy, his improving reliability has been vital for a team that has conceded 17 league goals.
His positioning and recovery work will be crucial against Manchester City’s powerful frontline.
Fulham sit 15th in the Premier League table with 17 points from 13 matches but have been strong at home, recording four wins and only one defeat at Craven Cottage.
Their improved organisation was evident in Saturday’s victory at Tottenham, where Chukwueze, Iwobi and Bassey all contributed to a more controlled and confident display.
Manchester City arrive in second place with 25 points but have shown signs of inconsistency in recent weeks.
Pep Guardiola remains without Mateo Kovacic, while Rodri is still managing fitness issues as City work to stabilise their midfield.
Their away form has dipped from previous seasons, producing only two wins in six league matches, including a 2 to 1 loss at Newcastle last month.
Fulham’s probable lineup includes Bernd Leno in goal behind Kenny Tete, Andersen, Bassey and Ryan Sessegnon.
Alex Iwobi is expected to partner Sander Berge in midfield, while Harry Wilson, Luke King and Samuel Chukwueze should support Raul Jimenez in attack.
Manchester City have won the last five meetings with Fulham in all competitions, including a 2 to 0 victory at Craven Cottage last season.
