Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels marital crisis worsens as both trade allegations of drug use, abuse, and manipulation in heated online exchanges
The marital feud between Senator Ned Nwoko and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has escalated into a public confrontation, with both trading explosive allegations involving drug use, abuse, and manipulation.

Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, accused Regina’s brother, Sammy, of harassing his children and domestic staff, while also claiming he financed Sammy’s education and lifestyle.
The senator alleged that Sammy introduced Regina to drugs and sabotaged her rehabilitation process.
“These videos show Sammy repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and staff. He was the one who first introduced and supplied Regina with drugs,” Nwoko wrote on his X handle on Saturday.
He also claimed to have transferred ₦125 million to Regina’s mother over the past two years, stating that his efforts to help the actress recover were obstructed by her family and friends.
“When Regina started rehabilitation, the doctors instructed that her enablers should not visit her, but Sammy and others kept sneaking in to bring drugs,” he said, describing her brother as in need of professional help.
Nwoko defended involving law enforcement, noting that Sammy’s recent arrest followed a series of confrontations, including a 4 a.m. intrusion into his residence.
“He came to my house shouting and demanding that I face him. Without the influence of drugs, could he have been that bold?” Nwoko asked.
However, Regina Daniels fired back on Instagram, dismissing her estranged husband’s claims as manipulative and exaggerated.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly? You know my family has nothing to do with this. You’re trying to make them look bad for no reason,” she wrote.
The actress admitted to past drug use but argued it was not the root of their marital troubles.
“Fine, I did drugs — so what? The moment we fought, you ran to the public shouting ‘drugs’ to distract everyone from the real issue,” she said, accusing Nwoko of isolating her by targeting her friends and family.
Regina further alleged that Nwoko encouraged her drug use for his satisfaction, and that he locked her up, seized her phones, and forced doctors to sedate her whenever she disagreed with him.
“You always said I was ‘sexier’ when high. You liked me that way because it made me wild. Tell people the truth, not lies,” she wrote.
The actress also claimed there was no legal marriage between them:
“I would have filed for divorce long ago if we were ever married in court. We were never legally married. Leave me alone, Ned. Love is not by force.”
This latest exchange follows weeks of public speculation about their marriage, after Regina accused Nwoko of domestic violence.
The senator denied the allegations, linking her behaviour to substance abuse and insisting she undergo rehabilitation.
The crisis deepened after Sammy’s arrest in Lagos and transfer to Abuja, sparking emotional pleas from Regina and her family for his release.
Amid the turmoil, the actress celebrated the reunion of her estranged parents, describing it as a rare comfort during her ordeal.
