The agency described the rising trend of so-called “drug parties” as a criminal act that will be met with full force.
In the operation, officers descended on Proxy Night Club, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island.
More than 100 attendees were reportedly arrested, including the club owner, Mike Eze Nwalie „Pretty Mike“ Nwogu, and his manager, Joachin Millary.
During surveillance between 11 p.m. on Saturday and 3 a.m. on Sunday, undercover agents witnessed drug transactions and consumption inside the venue.
Eventually, operatives seized 384.886 kilograms of “Canadian Loud”, a potent cannabis strain, alongside other illicit substances from the club’s store.
While the attendees were profiled, counselled and released on the same night, the principal suspects remain in custody.
The agency also revealed it will pursue asset forfeiture against property owners knowingly hosting such illegal gatherings.
The NDLEA emphasised that any gathering organised for the purpose of consuming, distributing or abusing illicit substances is a clear violation under its Act and will be treated as a serious narcotic offence.

In calling for public vigilance, the agency urged parents, community and religious leaders to play their part in reporting suspicious activities, pointing out that these events not only fuel addiction but also undermine national efforts to safeguard youth and public health.
