Princess Olanrewaju Osibote disclosed that the outreach was conducted simultaneously in both states, with at least 500 beneficiaries reached in Ogun State and another 500 supported across multiple communities in Lagos State.
The food items distributed included bags of rice, tomato paste, spaghetti and semovita, which were shared among households identified as low income earners and daily wage dependants.
In Ogun State, the Margaret Modinat Foundation food outreach took place in Ijebu Ife, where residents gathered in an orderly manner to receive the items.
In Lagos State, the foundation extended support to traders and residents in market areas along the Akowonjo axis, Egbeda, Igando Road, Abaranje Road in Ikotun, Olowo Ira and Ojodu Berger.
Princess Olanrewaju Osibote said the choice of locations was deliberate, noting that petty traders and families reliant on daily income were among the hardest hit by current economic pressures.
The founder said the initiative reflected the foundation’s commitment to providing relief and restoring dignity, particularly during festive periods when many households struggle to meet basic needs.
She described the outreach as a powerful expression of solidarity with vulnerable communities.
Princess Olanrewaju Osibote added that the foundation was established in honour of her late mother, Margaret Modinat Osibote, whose compassion and dedication to humanity inspired the organisation’s charitable mission.
She said the foundation would continue to expand its humanitarian activities to other communities and called on individuals and organisations to support efforts aimed at assisting the less privileged.
