Oluwakemisola Apesin addressed the allegations in a detailed Instagram post in which she described the rumours as misleading and rooted in social media speculation.
The actress said her rise in Nollywood was achieved through persistence, skill and personal sacrifice rather than compromise.
“There is something I need to clear respectfully,” Oluwakemisola Apesin wrote.
“I have never used my body to collect a movie role. I have never slept with anyone to get featured in any film. I have never exchanged sex for opportunity.”
Reflecting on her early years, Oluwakemisola Apesin shared photographs from the beginning of her career and explained that she financed her ambitions independently.
Before establishing herself on screen, the actress owned two wine shops and worked as a hotel receptionist while attending auditions and film sets.
Oluwakemisola Apesin revealed that the financial burden of production, including accommodation and feeding during shoots, often required actors to cover their own expenses.
To reduce strain on her business income, the actress trained in makeup artistry so she could remain part of film productions while earning additional income.
The transition, she said, was deliberate and gradual.
From acting to makeup and back again, Oluwakemisola Apesin described her professional growth as steady and hard-earned.
Nothing, she emphasised, was handed to her.
As a mother of two daughters, the actress adopted a resolute tone, saying she could not build her children’s future on misconduct. Oluwakemisola Apesin attributed her achievements to discipline, dignity and faith.
“My name is clean,” she stated, adding that no one could credibly claim she had used her body to secure advancement.
The actress concluded by urging young performers not to be misled by shortcuts or false promises within the industry.
