K1 De Ultimate reunion with son Abdulmalik and actress Bisola Badmus sparks emotional reactions during public acknowledgement at EM Reality Africa

Legendary Fuji musician Sikiru Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, on Sunday in Lagos publicly reunited with his teenage son, Abdulmalik Ayinde Marshal, and the boy’s mother, actress Bisola Badmus, in an emotional moment that drew widespread reaction across Nigeria’s entertainment community.

The touching scene occurred at an EM Reality Africa event, where K1 paused mid-performance after spotting 15-year-old Abdulmalik in the audience.

The veteran singer beckoned to the teenager, who bears a striking resemblance to him, and brought him onto the stage to the delight of the crowd.

Audience members rose to their feet as K1 embraced the boy warmly.

Bisola Badmus, standing nearby, became visibly emotional as attendees rushed to console and congratulate her.

Several witnesses described the atmosphere as powerful and deeply moving.

The reunion follows Bisola’s remarks in September 2024, when she revealed that she had raised Abdulmalik largely on her own while navigating health challenges.

At the time, she had accused K1 of gradually withdrawing support, comments that generated substantial public sympathy.

K1 De Ultimate’s reunion with his son has therefore ignited conversation online, with many fans celebrating what they see as a long-overdue moment of reconciliation and healing.

Actress Dayo Amusa was among those who publicly applauded the family.

However, the gesture has also sparked debate. Some critics questioned the timing, asking why the public acknowledgement came only after years of silence.

Others argued that, regardless of past issues, the moment represents a promising new chapter for Abdulmalik, who recently secured an educational scholarship that has eased the burden on his mother.

For many observers, the powerful display on stage signals a potential turning point and raises hopes that K1’s public embrace will translate into sustained involvement in his son’s life.
