K1 De Ultimate airport incident sparks FAAN’s strong response after alcohol conflict at Abuja airport. Investigation ongoing, safety standards reaffirmed

K1 De Ultimate airport incident has drawn serious attention from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), following a tense encounter on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to FAAN’s official statement, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde popularly known as K1 De Ultimate was found with alcohol while attempting to board a ValueJet flight to Lagos.

Despite repeated warnings, he refused to comply with aviation security rules that prohibit carrying liquid substances over 100ml onboard.

During the confrontation, K1 allegedly spilled alcohol on a security officer and resisted intervention from the flight captain.

The situation escalated when he moved to the front of the aircraft, forcing AVSEC officials to remove him from the tarmac.

FAAN described the act as unacceptable and confirmed an ongoing investigation. They emphasized that aviation safety protocols apply to everyone, regardless of status.
