In the clip, influencers including Nas Boi, Broda Shaggi and Shank Comics showcased vibrant designs that blend classic Adire patterns with contemporary tailoring.
The collection highlights bold colours and modern silhouettes, reflecting renewed interest in indigenous textiles within Nigeria’s evolving fashion landscape.
Introducing the venture, Folagade Banks described House of Folagade as a heartfelt offering to supporters who have followed his creative journey, particularly fans of his popular character, Mama Deola.
“I present to you all, House of Folagade. Patronise Mama Adeola. My gift from the deepest place of love in my heart to those who have loved the brand all over the years and want Mama Deola to be as close as being in their homes,” Folagade Banks wrote.
The comedian revealed that the Adire dresses will be available from N50,000 and urged followers to support the brand’s rollout.
Industry observers note that Adire, a traditional Yoruba textile known for its intricate dyeing techniques, has experienced a resurgence in contemporary Nigerian fashion.
By focusing on the fabric, House of Folagade positions itself within a broader movement promoting locally produced materials and cultural heritage.
The launch video quickly gathered traction online, drawing positive reactions from fans who commended Folagade Banks for diversifying beyond skit making into entrepreneurship.
