The controversial Nigerian journalist and asylum seeker, David Hundeyin, has informed the Nigériens that the Nigerian president, Bola Tinubu, acted unilaterally in the possible military action of ECOWAS against Niger Republic.
Recall that President Tinubu has written to the Senate seeking its support for military intervention against the military junta in Niger Republic. He also sought the backing of the legislature on cutting off electricity to the country.
Hundeyin, in his reaction, appealed to the Nigériens, informing them that Nigerians are not in support of any action by the Nigerian government.
Read English translation below:
Dear Nigériens, we the people of Nigeria had no say in this decision
The Nigerian government, led by the one you called “Ebola Tinubu” acted unilaterally and without our support or approval
We remain your African brothers and sisters
