Delta State Trade Adviser, Shimitte Love, has died under unclear circumstances as police launch a full investigation and place her husband in protective custody
[dropcap]M[/dropcap]rs Shimitte Love, Special Adviser on Trade and Export to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has been confirmed dead under unclear circumstances.

The Delta State Police Command has launched an investigation to determine the cause of death, with her husband, Pastor Love, currently in protective custody.
Speaking to the press, SP Bright Edafe, spokesperson for the Delta State Command, confirmed that Shimitte was declared dead at a hospital where she was rushed earlier in the day.
He clarified that her husband was not arrested but was taken into custody for his safety.
“In cases like this, it is only an autopsy that will determine whether it was natural or if there was something else.” – SP Bright Edafe
“We didn’t arrest her husband. He is in protective custody… He was the one who called to say that his wife died early this morning, and that he is receiving threats from the wife’s family,” said SP Edafe.
The police further disclosed that a formal complaint has been lodged by the deceased’s family, alleging that her husband may be connected to her death. In response, authorities have stated that an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the true cause.
“In cases like this, it is only an autopsy that will determine whether it was natural or if there was something else,” the police spokesperson added.
