The controversy centres on a medical report allegedly shared by Blessing CEO days earlier to support claims of stage 4 breast cancer while soliciting public donations.
The report was said to originate from Xinus Medical Diagnostics and signed by Dr. O.A. Odigwe.
According to Xinus Medical Diagnostics, the document circulated online was not authentic in its published form, stating that the original report had been issued to Deborah Mbara in May 2025.
The organisation’s position intensified public scrutiny and prompted professional calls for accountability, including the Nigerian Medical Association’s demand for law enforcement intervention.
In a video shared via her Instagram page, Deborah Mbara gave a detailed account of her interaction with Blessing CEO, describing how the relationship expert had previously worked with her in Asaba and later contacted her under the premise of comparing medical documents.
Deborah Mbara stated that Blessing CEO requested access to her cancer diagnosis report, allegedly to compare it with her own.
She said she agreed to share the document in good faith, unaware of how it would later be used.
She added that she only became aware of the situation when the report surfaced online, allegedly modified and presented as evidence to support Blessing CEO’s claims.
Deborah Mbara further alleged that Blessing CEO denied knowing her publicly while having previously reached out to her family in person.
She recounted that her husband reportedly urged Blessing CEO to issue a public apology and clarify the circumstances surrounding the matter.
Expressing disappointment, Deborah Mbara described the situation as a breach of trust, stating that her intention was to support someone she believed was genuinely in need.
Her remarks underscore the growing public concern over the ethical implications of sharing and altering sensitive medical information.
