He also praised African innovation in the music and film industries, noting that platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime increasingly feature African stories and content.
“When you come on Netflix, you will see about two Nigerian movies in the top 10. Africa is next, trust me,” he added.
Davido emphasised that Africans bring exceptional creativity and talent to the table, citing his experience with his record label, Sony Music. “Africans bring the best ideas. That shows that our imagination is off the grid,” he said.
The singer’s comments underscore the growing recognition of African talent in global industries.
However, while Nigerians are widely respected for their contributions to medicine in the U.S., there is no statistical evidence to substantiate the claim that they are the “best doctors” in America.
Davido’s remarks align with the increasing sptlight on Africa’s potential in various fields.
Nigerian movies and music are gaining unprecedented global attention, with many streaming services and record labels investing in African content.
As Davido noted, Africa possesses immense potential but still faces challenges that need addressing to fully unlock its capabilities. “We have everything but just missing a couple of things,” he remarked.
