The Afrobeats sensation and Grammy-nominated artist recently revealed in a viral video that he once served as an errand boy for music legends Don Jazzy and D’Banj.

The video, now trending online, features Davido reminiscing about life between 2007 and 2009 while living in Atlanta, Georgia. During that period, he was still carving his path in music.

“In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj,” Davido said. “He sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car Rolls Royce.”

While now known for sold-out arenas and international hits, Davido’s reflections on those early years offer fans a rare, authentic glimpse into his humble beginnings.
