Chude Jideonwo makes his acting debut in the upcoming Nigerian drama Onobiren: A Woman’s Story, joining a cast including Patience Ozokwo and Deyemi Okanlawon
Media entrepreneur Chude Jideonwo is set to make his cinematic acting debut in the feature film Onobiren: A Woman’s Story, marking a shift from his work in media and documentary storytelling.

The drama follows the journey of a young woman named Roli, played by Ruby Akubueze, who leaves her riverine Itsekiri community in Warri, Delta State, for Lagos, confronting societal expectations, personal challenges, and the realities of building a new life.
Directed by Famous Iraoya and written and executive produced by Laju Iren, the film explores themes of womanhood, faith, and identity within Nigerian society.
The cast also features Patience Ozokwo, Deyemi Okanlawon, Bisola Aiyeola, and Norbert Young.
Jideonwo, co-founder of RED Media Africa and founder of Joy Inc., previously appeared in the 2025 film SIN.
His role in Onobiren underscores his growing involvement in narrative cinema alongside his media career.
Shot in Warri and Lagos, Onobiren: A Woman’s Story is the first theatrical release from Laju Iren Films and received support from Africa No Filter and CcHub Creative Economy.
