Chinmaya Foundation’s International Talent Competitions attract 35,887 participants, showcasing rural talent in art, dance, and music worldwide
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Chinmaya Foundation, an international organisation promoting peace, harmony, and cultural ties, continues its mission to spotlight rural art and folk culture globally.

Based in Babalpur village, Dasarathpur block, Jajpur district, Odisha, India, the foundation has achieved remarkable success with its International Rural Talent Search Mission programme.
As part of this initiative, the foundation hosts the International Thursday Ser Joti competition, attracting thousands of participants across diverse categories. So far, a total of 35,887 contestants have participated in four main competitions:
- Panchak Muruj Competition: Featured 1,756 contestants on the first day, 3,795 on the second, 5,956 on the third, 7,272 on the fourth, and 9,756 on the final day.
- Evening Floral Competition: Drew 3,724 contestants.
- One-Day Rangoli Competition: Attracted 1,372 participants.
The ongoing competitions have revealed exceptional talent and cultural richness, with participation numbers surpassing last year’s figures.
The foundation is now inviting girls and women to showcase their talents in upcoming international online competitions in song, dance, drawing, and mehendi. Interested participants must submit their introduction videos explaining their interest, along with performance recordings, via:

Dr Chinmaya Dash, founder and chairman of the foundation, expressed pride in the growing number of participants, emphasising the foundation’s dedication to bridging cultural ties and giving rural talent a global platform.
“Our goal is to foster appreciation for rural art and culture while creating opportunities for individuals to share their unique talents with the world,” said Dr Dash.
