Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked a funeral gathering in Kwaple village near Chibok, Borno State, killing 15 mourners and abducting an unconfirmed number of others

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a tragic incident, suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked Kwaple, a village situated near the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, killing 15 people and abducting many others.

The attack occurred at approximately 7 pm on Monday as community members gathered for a funeral rite.

The Chairman of Chibok Local Government Area, Modu Mustapha, confirmed the attack, stating, “The terrorists attacked during a funeral, a lot of people were killed.”

A local source, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed the devastating details of the assault. “It was a horror experience when they came shooting.

Efforts to obtain further information from the Borno State Police Command Spokesperson, ASP Nahum Daso, were unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls.
