Angela Okorie bullet fragments in head resurface years after 2019 shooting as Nollywood star reveals health struggles and divine mercy in Instagram post

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed that bullet fragments from a 2019 shooting remain lodged in her head, years after the traumatic incident.

The 39-year-old made the disclosure on Monday through an emotional Instagram post, updating fans on her ongoing health struggles.

“Last two weeks have been so hectic lovers. It’s been one hospital or the other running some series of tests on my head and body,” she wrote, alongside videos showing her undergoing medical examinations and scans.

Angela explained that she had not been feeling well recently and was advised by her doctor to rest completely.

During her checkups, doctors discovered that more bullet fragments were still embedded in her head — years after the initial attack.

“I went for my checkups, it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets on my head. As years go by, more still comes out,” she said.

Despite the discovery, the actress expressed deep gratitude to God for sustaining her life.

“At the end, it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. God is with me no doubt and may his name be praised. Amen. legitqueen.”

Angela Okorie first came forward about the shooting in December 2019, claiming she was ambushed by gunmen she described as assassins.

I went for my checkups, it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets on my head… But at the end, it is not of him that willeth… but of God.

According to her, she was struck by at least ten bullets during the terrifying attack, which she survived by what she described as divine intervention.

“The assassins kept on shooting for 30 minutes, no help from anywhere. No human came for our rescue. Only God came for our rescue,” she said then.

In a follow-up revelation in 2021, Angela stated that bullet fragments were still surfacing from her skull and claimed the attack was linked to rivals within the entertainment industry.

She maintained that the shooting was premeditated and that she would never forgive those responsible.

She also criticised bloggers who, she said, spread false narratives and mocked her experience, accusing them of adding to her trauma.

Angela Okorie, known for her powerful screen presence and outspoken views, has used her platform in recent years to talk about survival, betrayal, and the importance of faith.

This latest health update underscores the long-term physical and emotional toll of the 2019 incident.

Her fans and followers have flooded the comment section with prayers and words of support, expressing shock that such critical fragments still remain in her body.

As she continues to recover and share her journey, Angela’s story remains a stark reminder of violence faced by public figures and the enduring strength it takes to heal.
