Ahuja Bello death confirmed a day after his 83rd birthday, leaving fans mourning the Juju music legend known for shaping Nigeria’s golden music era
Ahuja Bello death has left fans in shock as the legendary 70s Juju music star passed away just a day after celebrating his 83rd birthday.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed on Monday by his daughter, Bello Festus Aderemi, who took to Facebook to share a heartfelt message:
“Rest in peace my lovely dad, Alhaji Ahuja Bello. We love you but God loves you more.”
His band, Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band, also released an emotional tribute:
“Though you are gone, your light continues to shine in our hearts. RIP Ahuja Bello.”
Born Ismaila Dele Bello on August 24, 1942, in Iseyin, Oyo State, Ahuja Bello rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s as a singer, guitarist, and band leader.
He originally worked as an electronic technician before answering the powerful call of music.
In 1976, he founded Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band, a group that played a key role in the golden era of Juju music.
Until his death, Bello remained one of Nigeria’s most respected voices in the genre.
His vibrant melodies, storytelling lyrics, and unique sound made him a household name and a cultural treasure.
