In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page on February 18, she revealed her deteriorating health and financial challenges, adding that her friends have abandoned her.
Visibly distressed, Halima explained that despite appearing strong online, she has been battling severe health issues.
She debunked claims that she was faking her condition, stating, “People are confused about what is going on. I am not feeling fine up till now. I am just good at being strong and pretending that I am okay.”
She further disclosed that she had to relocate to her village for a year while undergoing treatment. Despite her health struggles, she claims many people, including her colleagues in Nollywood, have ignored her cries for help.
“I have been practically begging for financial support for my medication. My MRI, my BP—it’s 157. I haven’t done a movie in over six years. What do people want? For me to die?” she lamented.
Halima also shared that she has sold all her cars and assets to survive. She expressed disappointment over the lack of support from the Nollywood industry, saying, “I go from DM to DM trying to see who will help me. I was rich. I sold everything. How would I live when I am not working?”
Ending the video, the actress urged Nigerians to tag her state governor and senator, hoping they could assist her in her time of need.
